Africolour | Muctar Inkindi
In the dust and trees
By the days and dreams
So deep to dry the tears
From DARK we rise BLACK.
From the crude to the clouds
Through the scars is where
We saw the stars.
Of these blades is where we
Sharpen our brains, breaking the
Chains as we are the reborn warriors
Ready to be champions.
By the grey ashes and loom
To the green lands and glory,
Of all these fumes we still flourish our
Bright future
Of all the bloody violence we
Still grow the violets’ blissful blossoms
In our lives.
’cause victory lies back down in our nerves.
From all shadows of Phobia
Force and power remain our philia.
’cause we are the blueberries that rose
On the bank of the river Nile.
They thought that our story was all
About misery and agony
Brother Sun rose again above our heads with that yellow shining smile.
When our eyes were so red due to
The pain that made us shed tears
So the rain reigned in our farms
Chasing all the flames far away from our household.
‘Cause in the NORTH we narrate the Brown tales.
In the EAST we stay Black
To the South we sail white
At the center, we cultivate cozy kindness.
To the horn we blow the glory and victory.
Through these winds, we find our
Feathers and flying wings.
Around this frenetic fire, we share our stories.
In these caves, we chase our prey.
‘Cause this is the place to stay.
